Selfacy – 1.2 – Need Some Love

Well I need what keeps
a young man alive
I said I need it now
I’m gonna get my message across to you
Someway, somehow
Ooh I need some love
I said I need some love.
Ooh yes I need some love
This feelin’ I can’t rise above

“Need Some Love” – Geddy Lee / Alex Lifeson

Giving up on the broken violin store object (*sniff*), Marcus decides to try his hand on the Laser Rhythm-a-con. He even gathers himself a little audience.

Another promotion brings him one step closer to his LTW.

Poor Marcus. Gay single sim, surrounded by *sigh* admittedly lovely ladies. Man, Story Progression. Your immigration round this time is killing me.

Another exciting night for Marcus, reading comic books for that sweet, sweet nerd cred.

At the beach one night, he engaged Ellie Flannagan in a trivia contest and she wiped the floor with him. However, she also becomes his first friend outside of work.

Spring arrives on the islands, so Marcus dresses more accordingly for the season and heads to the spring festival. Even though he didn’t end up meeting anyone, and almost wiped on the skating rink, he had a wonderful time and even came home with a fancy egg.

Promoted to level 5. Next promotion, he’ll choose the Director film branch.

I don’t know why this chick keeps trying to rob him. By now (her third attempt) she should know Marcus has an alarm… but then again any opportunity to see the hunky cop, Marcus will take.

Rather than return to work on Monday, Marcus decides to take a 6 day writing sabbatical to Monte Vista, thanks to his Prepared Traveler and Jetsetter LTRs. He rents a small house just down the road from the main square.

He’s got a want locked in to fall in love as well. That’s really what this trip is all about, so he sets out to a small local park and meets Dario DeLuca.

And Pepe Moretti, who Marcus really hit it off with.

He went for the kiss!

And Pepe did nooooooot appreciate it. At least buy a guy dinner, Marcus!

Marcus apologized, and convinced Pepe to give him a chance and go on a date with him.

Their night begins with dinner at the bistro, followed by stargazing from a bench at the Piazza Regalia, their view only mildy obstructed by the ancient City Hall.

They share their first kiss, and Marcus invites him to spend the night. They have a little fun before sleeping.

After breakfast at the diner the next morning, they decide to go steady.

Obligatory kissy-face selfie, before Pepe heads off to be a brave cop.

After spending a rainy night writing at a local bar, he stops to visit Pepe at his home and learns he is rich.

They’re so cute.

Having achieved the goal of falling in love, and another level in writing, Marcus heads home to the Isles and informs Pepe he’ll send for him as soon as he gets there.

We’ll leave it there for now! Stay tuned for another episode soon.
